Published guides

A useful CNC estimate shows how its total was built. These guides cover cost estimation, CAD inputs and the decisions that still require manufacturing judgment:

How to use these guides

The formulas are starting points, not a universal price list. Each shop must validate its own normal capacity, costs, process assumptions, tolerances, inspection plan and risk treatment. A STEP model does not replace the drawing or a manufacturability review.

Editorial standard

Each published guide answers one clear question, discloses material assumptions and links to its sources. Internal review means an audit by the Kostira team of sources, terminology and consistency with the product’s verified scope. It is not an independent expert review or a certification that the method is correct for a particular shop.

A CNC technologist and the person accountable for cost accounting in the shop should approve the method before it supports commercial decisions. Kostira does not publish customer data without permission.
