CAD → COST → QUOTE

CNC quoting starts with STEP geometry, not a blank spreadsheet

Kostira reads STEP geometry, applies your shop’s material and process rates, and prepares an editable cost breakdown with PDF and XLSX outputs.

From part geometry to a quote you can review

Kostira is browser-based CAD-to-quote software for small and midsize CNC machine shops, toolrooms and job shops. It turns STEP geometry and shop-owned rates into a starting point for an estimate, while the estimator remains responsible for material, operations, hours and the final selling price.

One connected workflow

  1. Upload the part model as a STEP file.
  2. Review the extracted geometry and select the stock material.
  3. Add or adjust processes, hours and the rates used by your shop.
  4. Review the cost breakdown and export a customer quote as PDF or XLSX.

Kostira does not replace manufacturing judgment or promise an automatically correct price. It keeps assumptions visible so they can be challenged before a quote leaves the shop. Explore the complete quoting workflow or focus on STEP file quoting.

Made for shops that price work their own way

Machine capabilities, labor models, overhead and risk tolerance vary from one shop to another. Kostira uses the material and process rates maintained by your business instead of imposing the public price of a manufacturing marketplace.

That makes it useful for owners, estimators and manufacturing engineers who want a structured draft they can edit before responding to an RFQ. Review the product features and see how the approach compares with estimating in Excel.

A clearly scoped open beta

The open beta is free to join and does not require a card. The application interface is currently in English, and estimates currently use PLN. The public site is available in Polish and English.

Before using customer data, read the guidance on CAD file and data security. If you need to check whether the current scope fits your quoting process, contact the Kostira team.
