Starter terms for the Kostira open beta

Kostira is currently a free beta with no card required. Its editable estimates support quoting decisions but must be reviewed by the user and do not guarantee cost or manufacturability.

Status and scope

This is a transparent starter document, not complete commercial terms or legal advice. Before broader launch it needs legal review, the operator’s full identity, an agreed governing law and jurisdiction, and final liability provisions.

Questions about these terms can be sent to [email protected].

Beta access

The open beta is currently free and does not require a card. Features, limits and availability can change while the product is developed. Any future paid plan should be presented and accepted before charges begin.

Users are responsible for account security, the accuracy of supplied information and activity performed through their access. Attempts to bypass security, disrupt the service or use it unlawfully are not permitted.

Files and permissions

Users may upload only files and data they are authorized to process in an online service. They should check NDAs, customer requirements and internal security policy before adding a confidential model.

Users retain rights in their own materials. The exact technical license needed for the service to process uploaded files, together with final deletion terms, must be clarified in the production terms and privacy notice.

Nature of the estimate

Kostira reads STEP geometry and combines it with material and process assumptions. The output is editable planning support. It is not automatic confirmation of the manufacturing method, price, lead time, drawing compliance or manufacturability.

Before sending a quote, the user should review the model, drawings, tolerances, material, operations, hours, rates, quantity, risks and commercial terms. The user remains responsible for the quote sent to their customer.

Availability and liability

The beta may contain errors and has no publicly stated service-level commitment. Users should maintain required copies of their data and should not rely on a test version as the only system for a critical workflow.

Final limitations of liability must account for rights that cannot legally be excluded. This draft does not attempt to replace that legal work.

Privacy and changes

Data handling is described in the privacy notice and cookie information. The update date appears at the top of the page. Material changes should be communicated before they apply.
