LEGAL INFORMATION

Open-beta privacy notice

This page describes the current data-handling assumptions for Kostira. It is a transparent starter draft that needs legal review and complete operator details before broader commercial use.

Open beta · no card · the app interface is in English

Status of this notice

This is a public working notice for the open beta, not legal advice or a claim of compliance in every jurisdiction. Before commercial launch it should be reviewed by counsel and completed with the operator’s legal identity, applicable lawful bases, processor list and verified retention periods.

Privacy questions can be sent to [email protected].

Categories of data

Depending on how a person uses Kostira, processed data may include:

  • account and contact details supplied during registration or correspondence;
  • STEP files and the material, process, estimate and quote data entered by a user;
  • technical records and logs needed to operate, troubleshoot and protect the service;
  • the user’s analytics preference;
  • marketing-site visit data collected through GA4 only after consent.

Users should avoid including personal or customer information that is not needed for the product function.

Why data is used

Data supports account creation, requested product functions, service security, replies to messages and beta improvement. Marketing analytics are used to understand visits and sign-ups only after consent.

User data is not automatically treated as material for a public case study. Publication would require a separate, informed agreement and appropriate anonymization.

Providers, access and retention

Kostira relies on infrastructure providers for hosting, authentication, communications and analytics. The complete provider list, roles, processing locations and transfer mechanisms need to be verified and published before broader commercial operation.

This draft does not claim fixed retention periods. A user can email to ask about access, correction, a copy or deletion. What can be completed depends on technical feasibility, applicable law and any duty to retain records.

Analytics choice

GA4 does not load before consent. A shared Kostira preference is stored in the “kostira_analytics_consent” cookie as “granted” or “denied”. The choice can be changed through “Analytics preferences” in the footer. See the cookie information for more detail.

Updates

The update date appears at the top of this page. Material changes should be communicated in the application or through another suitable channel. If data terms are critical to your business, contact Kostira before uploading a confidential model.
